Who We Are
The West Coast National is organized and managed by the California Pork Producers Association and their junior board of directors. It began in December 2020 as a “replacement show” for the Arizona Nationals which was cancelled that year. We are excited to announce that WCNSS will be back in 2022 as the major “endpoint” swine event for the spring. For more information about our event, please visit the West Coast National Swine Show Facebook Page.

Showmanship
Will Taylor
Will Taylor is a Graduate Teaching Assistant and PhD Student at Iowa State University. He is also a Livestock Judging Coach at Iowa State University. Growing up in central Indiana he showed pigs. This led him to livestock judging throughout college at Lincoln Land Community College and Western Illinois University. Which then led him to internships with Belstra Milling, the National Swine Registry, and Sunglo Feeds.
His greatest memory is showing hogs at the National Junior Summer Spectacular which has always been a highlight. An aspect about a showman that he really appreciates is INTENSITY! Advice he is giving is that showmanship is the first and most important thing to be competitive in.
Will Taylor is looking forward to the West Coast National Swine Show as a high quality event with some of the best showmen in the country.
